1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to 1Ruler and its localized pages. It covers the public ruler, calibration features, contact links, analytics and advertising features when those optional services are enabled.
2. Calibration data
Calibration values such as the screen scale may be stored in your browser using local storage so the ruler can remember the display you calibrated. This information is used by your browser to redraw the ruler. The site does not need the number, name, expiry date or security code printed on a bank card; a card is used only as a physical-size reference.
3. Technical server data
Like most websites, the hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request information such as IP address, requested URL, date and time, user agent, response status and security events. Such logs may be used to operate the service, diagnose errors, prevent abuse and maintain security.
4. Analytics
If analytics is enabled, it may be used to understand aggregated page usage, device categories and performance. Where consent is legally required, optional analytics should not be loaded before the appropriate choice has been made. The active configuration can change as the site develops.
5. Advertising and AdSense
1Ruler may display advertising, including Google AdSense, after the publisher account and consent setup are ready. Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies and the consent choices available to you. Personalized advertising is not something we silently assume in regions where prior consent is required.
6. Cookies and local storage
Essential storage can be used for settings that make the ruler work, such as calibration and consent status. Optional advertising or analytics storage is handled separately when configured. You can clear browser storage from your browser settings, although doing so may remove a saved calibration.
7. External services and links
Hosting, analytics, consent and advertising providers may process data under their own terms. Links to external websites do not mean that 1Ruler controls those sites.
8. Data minimisation and security
We try to collect only what is needed to operate, secure and improve the service. Administrative areas are not intended for public indexing, and private configuration files are blocked from normal web access.
9. Your choices
You can decline optional storage where a consent control is shown, clear local browser data, use browser privacy controls and contact us with a privacy question. Depending on your jurisdiction, additional rights may apply under local law.
